Jennifer Gilbert is a passionate supporter of the Children’s Aid Foundation of Halton through her work on the board and committees. She is driven to provide the financial support needed to sustain programs that help children and youth that make a positive impact in their lives. Professionally Jennifer is a dynamic strategically-focused senior executive with over 30 years of experience in the Wealth Management and finance industry. She has a proven track record of success in: building teams; business development; organizational restructuring and rebranding; change management, policies and procedures; communications; project management and all with the expertise to provide sophisticated solutions to multi-faceted challenges.
Jennifer has over 35 years of experience in the Wealth Management and the Finance industry. Jennifer joined Scotiabank in 2001 and has held progressively senior roles. In 2019, Jennifer was appointed to her current role as Scotiabank’s Vice President, Dealer Finance Centres, Automotive Finance, responsible for the strategic direction, leadership and oversight for Dealer Finance Operations for Automotive Finance nationally, ensuring business strategies, plans and initiatives are delivered.
Jennifer is passionate about mentorship and giving back, she was one of the original founders of a grass roots networking program and is a strong advocate for Leadership Development Programs within Scotiabank and is a formal mentee for women in the industry. Jennifer holds a Bachelor’s of Administration, Child Development & Industrial and Organizational Psychology, from Concordia University. Throughout her career Jennifer has dedicated time to boards supporting youth such as New Visions Home and Special Olympics. She also, enjoys spending time with her children, family and friends, hiking and loves to cook.
